Servicing you can
trust.
Servicing is about more than changing oil and filters. It is about keeping your car safe, reliable and ready for the road. Every vehicle we see is treated with the same care and attention we would expect for our own.
Drive in with confidence. Drive out with a smile.
More than oil and filters.
What actually happens when your car is with us, and why it matters.
We take the time to properly check the important areas of your vehicle, including the brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, fluids and general condition. Our aim is not only to keep your car running properly but to identify developing problems before they become bigger and more expensive issues.
Most importantly, we want every vehicle that leaves our workshop to be safe and in good condition. If we find something that needs attention, we will explain what we have found clearly and give you honest, straightforward advice.
We do not believe in unnecessary upselling or replacing parts that do not need replacing, and no additional work is carried out without your approval. Whether you choose a Vehicle Health Check, an Oil Service or a Full Service, our goal is simple: to look after your vehicle properly and give you peace of mind every time you drive away.
The areas that keep you safe.
Every service includes a thorough inspection of the parts of your car that matter most.
Tyres
Checked for condition, wear and pressures, so you know exactly where you stand before your next MOT.
Brakes
Visually inspected for wear and condition, with brake fluid quality checked as part of a Full Service.
Steering & suspension
Components checked for wear, play and damage, the things that quietly affect how your car handles.
Fluids & coolant
Levels and condition checked, and topped up where appropriate, using the correct specification for your engine.
Leaks & wear
A general underbody and engine bay inspection for visible leaks, damage and excessive wear.
Diagnostic scan
Included with a Full Service, checking for stored faults your dashboard may not be telling you about.
Three options, plainly explained.
Not sure which one your car needs? Give us a call and we will talk it through.
Courtesy car available on request. Subject to availability. Just ask when you book.
Clear advice. No unnecessary upselling.
We will explain what we have found and distinguish between work that needs attention now and items that can simply be monitored. No additional work will be carried out without your approval.
We inspect properly
The car goes on the ramp and the important areas are checked thoroughly, not glanced at.
We explain what we find
In plain terms, separating what needs doing now from what can be watched and left for later.
You decide what happens
Nothing extra is carried out without your approval, and you pay what you were quoted.
Castrol oil, correctly specified
We only use Castrol engine oils and always select the correct specification and grade for your particular engine. Different vehicles require different quantities and specifications of oil, so oil and filter costs are added to the base service price. We can confirm the total for your vehicle before you book.
Questions worth asking.
Which service does my car need?
It depends on your mileage and when the car was last looked at. A Full Service is the comprehensive option and covers the scheduled service items. An Oil Service keeps the engine maintained between major services. A Vehicle Health Check is an inspection rather than a service, useful if you have just bought the car or want reassurance before a long trip. Call us with your mileage and last service date and we will tell you honestly which one fits.
Why is the price "from" rather than fixed?
Because service requirements vary considerably between vehicles. The final price depends on the manufacturer's requirements, the labour involved, the quantity and specification of oil, the filters, the spark plugs and any other scheduled parts. The Vehicle Health Check is the exception at a fixed £79. For the others we can confirm the total for your vehicle before booking.
Will you do work I have not agreed to?
No. If our inspection finds something that needs attention we will explain what we have found and advise you of your options. No additional work is carried out without your approval, and we will tell you plainly what needs doing now and what can simply be monitored.
Will servicing with you affect my manufacturer warranty?
Servicing at an independent garage does not invalidate a manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses parts of the right standard. Bring your service book along and we will update it where possible. If you are unsure about the terms of your particular warranty, check your own documentation.
Can I have a service and MOT at the same time?
Yes, and it saves you a second trip. Mention it when you book so we can allow the time. It also means anything picked up during the service can be discussed with you before the test rather than afterwards.
Do you service all makes and models?
Yes, including 4x4s and fleet vehicles. We use the correct Castrol oil specification and the right service parts for your particular engine rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
